Billing & Insurance
Abby D the OT is a private pay corporation and is out of network with insurance companies. This means we do not bill insurance directly but will produce a Superbill on request for families wishing to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. For cost of services, visit our Services page.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
All new clients require an evaluation to learn about their strengths and unique concerns. If your child has had an evaluation by another provider in the last 12 months or they have a current IEP, these can sometimes be used to guide a treatment plan instead of a new evaluation.
-
A screening for occupational therapy services can be administered prior to an evaluation to help determine if a full occupational therapy evaluation is recommended. The cost of a screening is $75. If further assessment is recommended, this cost will be credited toward the evaluation.
-
Yes! Many children who don’t meet the eligibility criteria for early intervention or school-based services can still benefit from private therapy. These programs often have strict guidelines, meaning a child may not “qualify” even though they’re experiencing challenges that impact their daily routines, play, or learning. In private practice, we can address these areas proactively and provide individualized support to help your child build confidence and develop the skills they need to thrive.
-
No. Occupational therapists don’t provide medical or developmental diagnoses. Instead, we focus on evaluating your child’s strengths and areas of need through observation and assessment. Using this information, we create individualized plans to support skill development, daily functioning, and participation in home, school, and community activities.
