Meet Your Therapist
Abby Danielson, MOT, OTR/L
Hi, I’m Abby, a pediatric OT based in St. Louis and the owner of Abby D the OT. I earned my Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri–Columbia (Go Tigers!). My experience includes school-based OT and early intervention across both public and private school settings throughout the St. Louis area.
As a school-based OT, I often saw service providers working in isolation, with limited communication between therapists, teachers, and families. Teachers were unsure what was being addressed in therapy, and therapists didn’t always have a clear picture of what students needed in the classroom. Abby D the OT was created to offer a more connected and collaborative approach.
My therapy style is authentic, neurodiversity-affirming, practical, and evidence-based. I believe occupational therapy should be rooted in real-life occupations and integrated into a child’s daily routines. I work closely with parents, teachers, and other providers to share goals, communicate progress, and ensure strategies are meaningful and realistic.
I especially enjoy supporting children who may not qualify for traditional services but are still struggling, as well as students navigating executive functioning challenges or ADHD. I work with both families and schools to help children feel understood and supported, and to help the adults in their lives feel confident in how to support them.
